Banned for life
Well, I’ll not waste a lot of time or tears over such, but if you care to do so, take a look behind the fold and you’ll find out why I was banned for life after four posts at the Sean Hannity blog…
Someone at their blog did a ping back to this site and began a thread filled with all sorts of inaccurate posts, claiming, for example, that the Reconstruction Party platform was our platform, or quoting a proposed California platform as being a part of the national platform. I posted a message telling readers there that they could get *accurate* information here, and provided a link. I then wrote another post explaining that many Greens support gun rights, but don’t understand why folks like those at Sean Hannity’s site were more concerned about how the supreme court handles gun ownership that they are with the supreme court ruling that you don’t have a right to own property, referencing their decision to allow eminent domain for commercial interests.
I was writing the below message and when I tried to post it, I got a notice in BIG RED LETTERS saying that I had been BANNED FOR LIFE!
I’ll try to recover all I wrote there. Maybe I went way over a line. You judge:
LouC Cynthia is my girl, she has my vote.
What I love is our county Green Party Chair is a registered sex offender.
Nothing but the best for them.
Get Green news from Greens
Promotional content removed. If you have something to say… say here on our discussion boards. LEE {This was where I had invited readers at Sean Hannity’s site to come here for accurate info. Here is what they removed:Get Green news from Greens
While I don’t want to antagonize any of you by trying to point out what I believe are inaccuracies in what is written here, I do want to invite you folks to visit us over at Green Party Watch for a party member’s view.We don’t pretend to be non-partisan…I doubt many here would claim that Hannity is non-partisan…but if you will spend some time with we Green I believe you’ll find that some of your assumptions are inaccurate.}
For example, most Greens I know, and I know several dozen personally and several score by the internet, support gun ownership rights.
What amazes us is how you folks who are concerned about 2nd amendment rights don’t seem at all concerned about our first, forth, and tenth amendment rights…as if guns are more vital than free speech, gun ownership more critical than home ownership, and as if being able to bust a cap in some burglar’s ass as he tries to steal your silver from your dining room is more important than keeping the federal government out of your bedroom. That confuses the heck out of me.
{In another comment immediately after this one I wrote this}
LouC wrote: What I love is our county Green Party Chair is a regeistered sex offender.
How about something to SUBSTANTIATE that claim???
Oh…and BTW, that’s spelled “registered”, not “regeistered”…
To which Lou C replied:
So Gregg you and friends been observing this board foir a while now huh?
“What amazes us is how you folks who are concerned about 2nd amendment rights…”
Odd observation for a brand new poster?
Nothing personal mind you but we get a lot of retreads.
He then followed up with this comment:
Both are a matter of public record.
Best not get too concerned about typos, they happen.
I posted another comment, this time to try to clear up misinformation about the party platform:
Please get your facts straight
I don’t mind at all if you folks want to throw out unflattering photos of Congresswoman McKinney etc, but to write the crap you have about the Green Party and our platform is nothing less than an attempt to mislead readers here who don’t have the time to check you folks out to be sure you are not lying.
Here’s a couple of examples.
Mr Siefel quotes from the California Green Party’s proposed platform, but rather than give accurate info, you ascribe that to the national party. Why not look at the national party’s platform yourself…ok, self-promotional link coming…get your red marker out to remove it again…The National Green Party platform.
I find it ironic that this site did a ping back to Green Party Watch, and then complains when I link to the site for you folks to get info from the horse’s mouth. Heck, maybe Mr. Hannity is as tender footed as W. James Antle III was when he posted to his corporate sponsored site, Politico.com. He didn’t seem to like Greens who don’t just roll over and give up, and neither, apparently, do the administrators of this site.
Then again, I suppose you folks know how to find Green Party Watch via Google, or any number of other search engines out there in cyber space.
I was composing this comment below, and when I posted it, I got a BIG RED “You are BANNED FOR LIFE” for violating their terms of service. It never got posted.
LouC…You say that this “registered sex offender” is a party leader, and then refuse to prove it? Geeze…is it really too much to expect a link on such a serious charge?
Indeed, a Green is running against a convicted sex offender in Louisiana, but the sex offender in that case is not the Green nominee, but the Democratic nominee…and not only that, the Republicans didn’t even try to run someone for the seat, so either you vote Green, for a convicted sex offender, or for a write in with no chance of winning. And yes sir, I do have a link to substantiate my point. Look this article in the Morning News or another article at the Arkansas News Bureau.
As to my being aggressive in defense of my party LouC…I am a newbie here, but my FULL actual honest to God name is right there. I can be found, written to, called, and evaluated any number of ways. You, by comparison, say that your “local Green Party” leader is a sex offender and refuse to prove it, and seem to imply that I am hyper-sensitive. I may be, but how would you react to see this sort of attack on your party and your nominee? Wait until you had the “respect and admiration” of the assembled throngs? I may be wrong in my political thinking, but I am not wrong to believe that you have no real understanding of the Green Party and are only hoping to be heard in your personal echo chamber. Sorry, but there are other opinions and viewpoints out there, and if you would read other’s viewpoints from time to time you might find that you don’t know either the Green Party not Congresswoman McKinney nearly as well as you think you do.
Here is the exact reason given for banning me: You have been banned for the following reason:
Contempt of MOD / promotional posting
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
If you think you might also enjoy being booted off a Sean Hannity site, the thread is here, or at least think it’s there. The ban also apparently makes it impossible to even read it. Ah well, how will I ever survive knowing that the all powerful Sean Hannity and his minions have determined that I am to be BANNED FOR LIFE! Not that it matters, but I re-read the Terms of Service, and it makes NO mention at all of “Contempt of MOD / promotional posting, at least not that I could find.

The Green Party nominee running for State Legislature is in ARKANSAS against a former State Representative who is African-American and sadly running as a Democrat.
What happened was his wife won the seat when he was tossed out for having sex with an underage girl. She decided to not seek reelection thinking another candidate was going to run. Her estranged husband filed and the other candidate didn’t file, two hours before the filing deadline.
As far as the North Little Rock district, Republicans have a better chance running a transsexual with McCain than Republicans have of winning the district.
Wow, what a thing to put on a resume! Something of which to be proud!
It seems typical – these folks don’t want to continue conversation with you/us, instead just walking/running away (shouting, I might add) and doing things like preventing folks like us to participate in their supposed “open forums” by devising excuses to throw us out.
Congratulations Gregg! That’s truly an honor.
don’t feel sad. I got banned from Newsbusters. Maybe I was over the line. IT had to do with a post on the death of Helms. Someone wrote something like “Imagine that, a southern congressmen who was not in the KKK. What a gentlemen.” So I responded “You know, you don’t have to be in the KKK to be a bigot. Jesse Helms for example.”
It might have been a little tasteless due to his death, but it is something that was true. What makes me angry about the situation is that I would read stuff twenty times worse in posts about democratic and liberal people, usually stuff not true or inflammatory, and they don’t get banned.
