On August 27, the Ohio Green Party filed a lawsuit on behalf of Cynthia McKinney to get her name on the November 2008 ballot. The case is McKinney v Brunner, U.S. District Court, 2:08-cv-819. Ballot Access News reports that the federal court in Ohio previously put the Libertarian Party and the Socialist Party on the Ohio ballot, on the ground that each party showed it has some support, and the state has no valid law in place regulating which parties should be on the ballot.
