Arizona Greens take a stand
In a post at their blog, the Arizona Greens take stands on a number of propositions before their voters this November.
Proposal 100 would apparently forbid local governments from passing a fee payable by home builders on new construction. The AZGP opposes that proposal.
Proposal 101 would apparently allow Arizonans choices in health care…but all the choices are bad according to the AZGP, so they oppose it.
Proposal 102 apparently falls into the “Defense of Marriage” rubric, and the AZGP believes that the government has no legitimate role to play in saying who marries whom. They oppose Proposal 102.
Proposal 105 would apparently make it close to impossible for the voters to pass legislation or rule changes on their own, requiring that any such changes must pass by a majority of all voters, not just a majority of those participating. The AZGP opposes that proposal as well.
Proposal 200 would “reform” pay-day lending, but the proposal was written by the pay-day loan business interests themselves, so the AZGP opposes this fox-guarding-the-hen-house proposal too.
