The Catawba River continues to be the sole carrier of all the burdens we throw its way. We ask for more of its water and rarely give back more than our waste, litter and leftovers. It's about time we start doing something for the Catawba that works tirelessly to support our water needs, our electrical hunger and our regional quality of living. We can't go on thinking that status quo will work! York County is a prime area for proactive measures to begin. York County should be the national standard for how to deal with ever-increasing populations. Our River deserves a County leadership that will stand up for its protection, and we all can do our own individual parts to make sure our officials are doing what we pay them to do- take care of our River and its resources!

President Obama has a huge agenda to fulfill. Even if he succeeds in only 25%, that will be a great accomplishment. After all look what our former leader did in the eight years he was in office to bring us down.
