The Reverend Billy Talen for Mayor of NYC campaign is kicking off its petition drive on Tuesday July 7, with petitioning going through August 16.

The campaign HQ is at 250 Lafayette St between Prince and Spring in SoHo.

Check the website for more information about the campaign, and I have to add that this is one of the best campaign websites I have seen! voterevbilly.org

Other upcoming events for the Rev Billy Campaign include a BBQ this Sunday July 5, 5 p.m., Sheeps Meadow in Central Park; and a Rev Billy Fundraiser in San Francisco on Tuesday July 21.

    Reverend Bill is great fun!

Exactly what the Green Party needs.

It will be an amazing achievement if they can get 17,000 valid signatures…

    Is that correct…the number required?

Thanks for enjoyable, optimistic Green Party story.

That sound a little too much. I thought it would be something like a couple thousand.

Rev. Billy needs 7,500 valid signatures, but candidates usually try to gather at least twice the required amount in order to withstand a challenge. The campaign is shooting for 20,000 signatures in 6 weeks - and by the way, they need donations to get them over the finish line.
