Ohio Greens in Front of Democrats (at least in a Parade)

This past 4th of July the Mahoning Valley Green Party of Youngstown, Ohio scored a “victory” by being placed in the Sruthers City 4th of July Parade ahead of newly elected Mahoning County Democratic chairman, David Betras. While Mr. Betras rode in a convertible with his AKC dogs, the Greens drove a 1997 Green Ford Wagon with party signs that supported a “Buy Local” campaign as well as signs against NAFTA Trade Policies. The Green Party machine received many cheers among the 3 mile parade route while some local Democrats were steaming about us being placed ahead of the Democratic Chairman in a Democratic City.  The Mahoning Valley Greens have been in 4 parades this year and will participate in the Campbell, Ohio Cityfest Parade this Saturday. (another Democratic Stronghold)
