Mahoning Valley Greens (Youngtown, Ohio) Updates

The Mahoning Valley Greens have participated in 5 county parades since St. patrick’s Day and expect to be in 3 more parades before the summer ends.

The Greens will be participating in the Pig Iron Press Arts and Crafts Festival this Weekend in Downtown Youngstown. They will be gathering petitions for AllAboardOhio.org to bring high speed mass rail transit for  a Cleveland-Youngstown-Pittsburgh, Pa corridor run.

The Greens will also begin paricipating in the North Side Farmers Markets starting next weekend starting on the Northside of Youngstown selling sunflower plants as well as recycled t-shirts for a fund rasing.

Dennis Spisak announced he will be seeking Re-Election to the Struthers City Board of Education this November and will submit his petitions to the county board of elections in August.

The Greens will also be participating in the second annual Grey to Green Renewable Energy Festival in Youngstown, Ohio on September 12, 2009.

    That seems to be a very nice method to help the party, getting into parades.
