Ohio Greens Endorse Local Candidates and National Issues at Statewide Meeting on Saturday

The Ohio Green Party met this past Saturday in Zanesville and had a very productive state-wide meeting and potluck lunch.

4 candidates for local 2009 elections were endorsed…..candidates for Cleveland City Council, Mill Township Trustee in Tuscarawas County, Cincinnati Schools Board of Education, and Struthers City Schools Board of Education.

The Ohio Green Party also endorsed the Mass March on the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Friday, September 25th. A peaceful march to demand “money for human needs, not for war.”

The Ohio Green Party also endorsed the October 17, 2009 peace actions being called the National Assembly to End the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and Occupations.  The Green Party of Ohio resolves to encourage our members and supporters to participate in and support actions in their communities. The Green Party of Ohio will ask the Green National Committee to also endorse the October 17, 2009 actions.
