Jennifer Dotson running for re-election to Ithaca, NY city council
Jennifer Dotson, a member of the Green Party of Tompkins County who represents Ithaca’s first ward on the city’s common council, is running for reelection this fall. Dotson was elected to Ithaca Common Council in 2007 with a record of public service that included serving on the Planning and Development Board, the Board of Public Works, the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Council, the Commons Advisory Board, and others since 2001.

Dotson’s platform includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting walkable/bikeable neighborhoods, focusing on the local economy, reducing toxins, keeping gas drilling out of the region, and more. She lists her transportation priorities as “walk, bike, bus, then drive”.
