Hi Dave:
That is the total for the year.
65 of those candidates have already run. The breakdown by state of those that have already run this year is:
AK 1
CA 1
CO 1
FL 1
IL 28
IA 1
ME 3
MD 2
MA 6
NY 2
OR 2
VT 6
WI 11
TOTAL 65
Alfred Molison is running as a write-in candidate for Houston City Counicl. He had enough signatures to get on the ballot, but when he turned his signatures in at the Mayor’s office as required many ‘disappeared.’ In the process of the signatures being transferred from the Mayor’s office to the City Secretaries office they lost half of them. Alfred had photocopies and he took these in but they would not accept them. Democracy does not prevail in Houston, Texas.
