It took 17 years of organizing with my co-workers before I was finally a Teamster. One of the best things that anyone can do to improve their standard of living is to organize your co-workers and get a union contract. In this "Great Recession", I and my co-workers have furlough & recall rights, get annual pay raises, have a grievance process, etc. I believe the Green Party would support an amendment to our national platform approving passage of the Employee Free Choice Act (giving everyone the right to join a union). Ditto to what Derek, Tony, Alfred & Betty have said! Hasta luego.
