Jill Stein to participate in MA governor’s debate Tues 9/7

From the campaign of Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party gubernatorial candidate Jill Stein:

It’s Labor Day and you know what that means – the campaign is going to start really heating up! The first televised debate of the campaign season has been rescheduled for Tuesday (9/7) -That’s right, TOMORROW! The debate will be broadcast live on WBZ (Channel 4) at 7:00 PM and be posted on www.wbz.com directly after it airs. We hope you can tune in as it is sure to be an great watch! If you’re in the Boston area and would like to show your support for Jill outside of the studio, please come to 1170 Soldiers Field Rd. in Boston (at 6:30pm) to stand with other sign toting supporters at this very exciting event! Although there is no studio audience for this debate, a strong showing outside makes a world of difference. For more information or to find out how to get involved, please e-mail Dante at dante [at] jillstein [dot] org.

While Jill is definitely in THIS debate, there is still a chance she may not be included in two major televised debates this fall unless that campaign has raised $100,000. Please make sure that Jill’s voice, the only voice for a secure green future, is not left out of these debates by making a donation today.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Lets go win this thing!

  1. Thanks for this great and uplifting Green Party news.

Just in from the Arlington County, Virginia Federation of Citizens Associations debate.

It opens the hot phase of the political season. Arlington County Green Party candidate for School Board Miriam Gennari did a fine job in a one on one debate with the incumbent.

Kevin Chisholm, the Arlington County Green Party candidate for County Board of Supervisors was in his first ever debate. The engineer was respectful, humble, wonkish (a very good thing), and kind in a three way debate.

Retired Navy Captain, and naval academy graduate, Ron Fisher the Independent Green Party candidate for congress in the Virginia’s 8th district called for a 90 per cent reduction in U.S. military spending, “And we would still be spending more than any nation on earth on the military”.

  2. Dave Schwab says:

I haven’t seen the debate yet, but word is that Jill Stein won. Check out this poll on WBZ:
