Green Party Watch News Network

Green activists reporting on Green Party candidates, chapters, committees and issues.

  1. Does this organization have no shame at all?

You folks have lost the right to post this. If you had any political integrity at all.

Howie Hawkins, yes but not the GP.

  2. Michael, are you not capable of understanding what has been explained to you over and over? I really don’t care to get into yet another of your tirades. I gave you a whole HOUR of GPW Radio for you to vent…gave you the opportunity to invite whomever you cared to as a participant. Promoted the show with an article here. And WE have no shame?

Also, please get this straight. This is a PRIVATELY owned website. It’s OWNER is Ron Hardy. This website is in NO WAY an official organ of ANY Green Party, international, national, state, local or candidate. The only connections are links to us, overwhich you know we have no control, and Ron’s involvement in the party at it’s various levels, and the author’s involvement in the party. We even have writers here who are not involved in the party.

I would also like to point out YET AGAIN that none of the writers nor editors here were active in fighting Ralph Nader’s securing the Green Party nomination. He did not SEEK the party nomination in 2004. I asked him IN PERSON twice to run as a Green, and told him that I would only campaign for the Green Party nomination. YOU seem to think that this makes me some sort of fucking rat bastard. What it makes me in my opinion is a PARTY SUPPORTER who puts the group’s interests ahead of an individual’s plans which are in conflict with the group’s plans.

Now, for some reason Ron has seen fit to allow you to post at HIS PRIVATELY OWNED website. I just wish you would do something more than bitch about stuff that happened years ago. You are more offended about this than Ralph Nader is himself! Get over it for God’s sake.

  3. From my political friend and ally, Cindy Sheehan in her last article of satire about “progressive” Democrats. It applies to their allies as well.

Here is to wandering almost alone in integrity. That is the part that you folks just do not “get.”

I hope with this confession and subsequent penance (10 Our Fathers, 20 Hail Mary’s and a pledge to vote Democrat for the rest of my life) that I am accepted back into the fold of the Democratic Party. I will also voluntarily swear to uphold healthcare for profit and to love Wall Street, the war machine, and the bankers with all my heart while detesting working people and those people who want to “kill Americans” for absolutely no reason.

In Obama I trust. What a relief! Having a conscience is very isolating.
Let’s Party with a capital D because if I can CHANGE, then there is HOPE for everyone and anyone else who are still lost wandering nearly alone in that wilderness of integrity.

    Come home!
    War is Peace!
    Freedom is Slavery!
    Ignorance is Strength.
    2 + 2=5

  4. Most excellent and true statement by Ralph Nader. I hope to hear the same from the Green Party HQ (I won’t hold my breath to hear it from my Libertarians, although the Boston Tea Party has already called for war crimes trials for US war criminals…hope to hear more parties doing the same).

BTW, should I repost other Nader articles here from IPR? I wasn’t sure. Also, how about this?

  5. Folks, let’s not worry about these petty arguments. Are we here to win as a political party? The most important thing is to strive to improve the lives of citizens every day and to help mother earth. The big corporations don’t care about these petty arguments, and being part of a third party, we have to stick together.

But on the upside: I propose a national month-long event to elect Ian Murphy, Koch Impersonator who called Governor Walker, and assist him by helping out with his campaign. Being grassroots, every thing we do is all done by us, so let’s do it guys!! No more moaning, give your time to help elect him.

  6. Eddie, I am willing to do what I can to help Murphy…can you give us a link?

paulie…any articles by or about a former GP nomination, especially a high level race, is welcome for here. Nader, Cobb, McKinney, LaDuke, La Marche and Clemente are all fair game IMO.

I love the video…I think our readers would enjoy it too. :-)

  7. For some reason the video embed code disappears every time I paste it into the dashboard for the article.

  8. Gregg, apparently the guys helping out the Ian campaign will release all their info either Tuesday or Wednesday, so expect links and everything. Let’s do it, guys! Tell all your Green friends and make sure to tell the people in Wisconsin to give their time, too.(Im referring to non-Greens). Can you guys give shoutouts to Wisconsin Greens and inform them on the news? I will tell Ben Manski but I need you guys to tell everyone and help me out.
