Los Angeles Progressive Congressional Candidate Marcy Winograd Switches to Green Party

Ballot Access News reports that Marcy Winograd has changed her registration to the Green Party. Winograd challenged Democratic Congressmember Jane Harman in Democratic primaries, receiving 37.5% in 2006 and 41% in 2010 (she also ran in a 2011 special election). Marcy Winograd recently took part in a radio debate with a Progressive Democrats of America leader on the subject of whether progressives should leave the Democratic Party. Listen to the debate on the January 16th episode of Connect the Dots with Lila Garrett at KPFK.

    Wow, I just listened to this. Marcy’s great. She sounds like an actual logical and level-headed person. This is the kind of passionate person Greens will be so much better off with having in the party.
