Illinois Green Party online primary, presidential caucuses start today

From the Illinois Green Party:
In conjunction with our online Presidential Primary, Greens will be hosting presidential caucuses around the state in February. These caucuses will be opportunities for people to learn more about the presidential candidates and to confer with other Greens.
This list of caucuses will continue to be updated as more dates and sites are announced:
Saturday, February 11
WHEATON – Green Party office, 213 S. Wheaton Ave., 3-5pm
Sunday, February 12
ROCKFORD – Just Goods Fair Trade Store, 201 7th St., 3-5pm
OAK PARK – Oak Park Library, 834 Lake St., 1-5pm
Saturday, February 18
CARBONDALE – Varsity Theater, 418 S. Illinois Ave., 1:30-3:30pm
CHICAGO – Jefferson Park Library, 5363 W. Lawrence Ave., 12-2pm
PEORIA HEIGHTS – Peoria Pizza Works, 3921 N. Prospect Ave., 6-8pm

An interesting sidelight: Illinois Greens don’t have to be 18. All teenagers who are party members can vote as long as they are at least 13.
