  1. Richard Kuszmar says:

    Hooray for Jill.

  2. Congratulations to Jill Stein on her landslide. She is now without doubt the Green Party nominee for President. I ask that all other candidates now drop out of the race, as I am doing, and clear the field for her. The Pinal County Greens will be meeting this week and will endorse Jill, who got 70% of the vote in our county (I got 20% and Michael and Gerard got 5% each). Even I, not a serious candidate, managed to come in ahead or tied with Kent Mesplay in most counties. He got no votes in my county and if I’d gotten 6 more votes or Michael Oatman had gotten 4 more votes, either of us would have finished second. With the support of Arizona Green Party co-chair Angel Torres, and given that he was given equal treatment with Jill Stein, this was a pretty dismal showing for Kent.

Clearly this overwhelming landslide means the nomination fight is over and all Greens should get behind Jill Stein.

The Arizona Green Party had previously denied my request to count my votes for Roseanne Barr and said they would allocate delegates only among the two recognized candidates on the ballot, Jill and Kent.

Since Jill got 69.17% of the vote and Kent got only 7.91%, 350 votes to 40 votes, Jill Stein got 89.74% of the two-candidate vote (350/390).

I believe she should be entitled to all five Arizona delegates to the Baltimore nominating convention. Go Jill!

  3. Jack Wagner says:

Great work! Looks like Jill has this “in the bag.”

Side note, one of the Libertarian Party candidates made a generic commercial for their Party, perhaps the Stein campaign can do something similar, but include her at the end with a brief statement:

  4. Dave Schwab says:

I think the best way for Kent Mesplay to help the Green Party is by staying in the race – contested primaries get more attention from the media and voters. If Kent can also start a campaign for state legislature in CA, so much the better. He would be a great asset in CA state government, especially on energy issues.

  5. Michael Cavlan RN says:

    Roseanne Barr

    Not allowed to have delegates.

You folks really just do not learn, do you? I am having coffee with My friend Farheen Hakeem tomorrow.

  6. ron says:

    Michael,

Arizona’s primary is run by the state, and the state of Arizona required candidates to only send a signed affidavit to get on the ballot. Barr didn’t do that, nor did Mikkelson.

I know you like to blame greens, but in this case it isn’t our fault.

Barr is on Wisconsin’s ballot because greens here put her on.
