The Green Party of Prince Edward Island, Canada has appointed an interim leader.
Darcie Lanthier a businesswoman from Mermaid, PEI was appointed as interim leader by the party. She replaces Sharon Labchuk who resigned a few days ago after leading the party for seven years, and establishing it as the province’s third party, ahead of the long-established New Democratic Party and newcomer Island Party.
“I just really want to deeply participate in moving the Green party forward,” Lanthier said in an interview Tuesday.
