The Green Party of the United States issued a press release on December 5th, welcoming the Green Party’s newly accredited Youth Caucus into the party. The Youth Caucus now stands next to the Lavender Caucus, Black Caucus and Women’s Caucus as an official caucus with representation on the Green National Committee. The Latino and Labor Caucuses are still in formation.

Organizers of a Youth Caucus of the Green Party in the US are reaching out to get accredited with the national party.
The organizers, A.J. Segneri and Ryan Jones, have been working on this project since the Annual National Meeting in Alfred, NY. Since then the response for having the Youth Caucus has gone over well. “Having a Youth Caucus in our national party is vitally important” said Segneri. For accreditation purposes, the caucus has met the 15 state requirement and is only 31 members short to meet the 100 membership list. The Youth Caucus will be having a meeting at the Presidential Nominating Convention in Baltimore, MD at 9:00 am – 10:30 am. At the meeting officers will be elected, and discussion of caucus activities. Related to the caucus, Segneri will be presenting on Thursday morning at the convention on the topic of Youth Outreach.
